New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced the results for the Class 10 Second Board Examination 2026. Introduced under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 framework, this new dual-exam system gives students two opportunities within a single academic year to secure or improve their scores.

Following the integration of the main exams (held February 17 – March 11) and the second session (held May 15 – May 21), the final cumulative pass percentage for Class 10 stands at 96.78%.

How are the performances and improvement statistics?

Out of the 6,64,027 students registered for the second evaluation block, 6,63,777 candidates actively appeared. A total of 5,13,955 regular students opted into the second exam specifically to raise their grades. Of these, 3,08,095 students (59.95%) successfully improved their scores over the main February–March exams. CBSE calculated the final mark sheets using the better of the two performances. The compartment category saw 1,49,822 test-takers, with 78,503 clearing the requirements. This brought the compartment pass rate up to 52.40%, a notable rise from the previous year's 48.68%.

How to access the results?

Scorecards and formal digital academic credentials are now available through the DigiLocker Results Portal. For regular students, school-wise data sets are being sent directly to registered institutional emails. Schools can download official records from the internal CBSE repository to distribute printed mark sheets and passing certificates. Affiliated students living abroad can also access their digital transcripts via DigiLocker.

For private candidates, digital documents will be uploaded directly to individual DigiLocker accounts, while physical hard copies will be shipped to registered home addresses. However, private candidates registered under the Delhi East and Delhi West Regional Offices must collect their physical certificates directly from their designated examination centers.

The board explicitly stated that parameters for post-result administrative services will be outlined in an upcoming official circular. Students and parents are advised to ignore unverified social media updates and cross-check all developments directly via official CBSE channels.
